How to Create a Holder Snapshot on Sui

Keeping track of these holders allows project creators to assess their audience and distribute rewards or perks accordingly.

Creating a holder snapshot on Sui is a simple and straightforward process. Below is a short detailed guide that will walk you through that process, to ensure you have an up-to-date query of your holders and other useful insights.

1. Access Your Collection on TradePort

To begin, head to TradePort and search for the collection you’d like to use for the snapshot.

2. Click on “Holders”

Holder View provides all sorts of helpful stats on the holders in a collection (identified by wallet) such as how many NFTs they hold, how many have been minted, and the % of the supply each holder owns.

3. Find the QueryNow that you’re on the

“Holders” tab, direct your attention to the top right corner. Here, you’ll see a small icon that looks like this: “</>”. This icon represents the code feature. This will reveal the query from Indexer to power the holder data displayed in holder tab.

5. Run the Code in Explorer

Now, we want to run this code in TradePort API Explorer so that we can down load the holder data. Click on the option “Run in Explorer.”

6. Execute the Query

Now you should be moved to the TradePort API Explorer. Once here, you'll now see an orange arrow or “run” button. This is what will execute the query.

7. Review the Results

Once the query has run successfully, you'll have a complete snapshot of your holders that your team can utilize. This includes key details such as wallet address, the number of tokens held, and other helpful information. You can use this data to analyze your community, plan rewards, or manage your project more effectively.
