As the crew of the Pepedelico set foot on the beach, exhausted and worn out from the journey, they beheld the exotic plant life and enchanting landscape of the island. Lush greenery, interspersed with the warm gray of the rocks and the yellow of the sand, brought a smile to every pirate's face. They could hardly wait to eat exotic fruits and to grill freshly caught fish over the first campfire in the evening, their bodies worn down by the hardships of the past months at sea. Some of the crew members felt occasional fear and discomfort. A few claimed to have seen sad creatures in the thickets of the forest, but surely, these were just side effects of severe vitamin deficiency and dehydration. It was time to set up a camp!
